The July 6-20 ZaMM 50th Anniversary Ride Orientation and Meeting - July 6&7
The ride begin with the group meeting in Minneapolis to get acquainted, attend a talk at the Zen Center, and orient themselves for the commemorative ride.
After many months of planning, a dedicated group of ZaMM and Robert M. Pirsig fans, and members of the Robert Pirsig Association, are retracing the Zamm route for about a week. Like the original ride, this caravan of cycles and cars during first week July, the same time Pirsig himself rode the original route in 1968.
July 6:
The group dined at the hotel in Minneapolis, Pirsig’s home city and where the ride begin, where they gathered to begin the ride the next day. Participants include Mark Richardson, author of “Zen and Now”, Henry Gurr, author of “A Woman of Quality'“ , and David Matos who manages the ZMM Quality social media
Sat, July 6th, dinner (left to right): Mark Richardson, John Chorne, Wendy Richardson, Rod Orr, Mark Privratsky, Amy Privratsky, (Ian Glendinning must be taking the photo)
A nice sized group getting together that night. The next day, various types of transporation will start the ride - a lot of cycles, but some cars too.
